LUCIE HUNTER PARK

Public BBQ

Lucie Hunter Park occupies a prime position along the South Yunderup Canals, where the main attraction is clearly the water access rather than extensive facilities. The park features a horizontal jetty extending over the canal - perfect for fishing or lowering crab nets into the water below. Two step-down sections provide convenient kayak launching points, making this a practical spot for paddlers exploring the canal system. The waterside setting delivers pleasant canal views, particularly appealing during golden hour. Amenities are decidedly minimal; this is very much a location that relies on its natural assets rather than developed infrastructure. The park sees occasional community use, hosting events like Christmas carols when the neighbourhood gathers. For those seeking a no-frills spot to fish, drop a crab pot, or launch a kayak with decent water access, it serves its purpose. Just don't expect elaborate facilities or extensive picnic infrastructure - this is canal access with a patch of grass attached.
